Why are homeless people homeless? There might be lots of reasons for it but this guy shows that it is definitly not because he is egoistic and only thinking of himself first. Perhaps this is his problem. Watch for yourself what he does when a stranger is asking him a question.
The reaction of this homeless man shows that he might be in this bad situation because he cares for others first instead of taking care for himself. He really needs every cent to buy something to eat and survive but he spends all of his time to help a stranger with no prospect of a reward.
