Now I'll show you how to make a clone version of the famous New York Hot Dog - it's great! I also use sauerkraut under the sauce. This is quick to make as you can get the sauce done in the time that it takes to heat up the hot dogs. Sauerkraut is sliced cabbage that has been pickled.

Sauce Ingredients (serves 5):
1 medium onion chopped (1 cup)
1/4 tsp. coarse salt (a pinch finely ground salt)
2 Tbsp. oil
1 garlic clove
1 Tbsp. tomato paste
1 tsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. red wine vinegar or any vinegar
1 tsp. hot sauce
This is so simple, really everybody can do this at home.
